I worked for twenty years on the front line at Camden Ambulance Station and, to be honest, Camden is still my spiritual home. It was the first and only station I worked at. I had great times and met great people throughout those years.

It has to be the ambition of our union to see ambulance workers take control of their working lives. For them to be in charge of their day-to-day work patterns, training, leave, relief cover, environment and community.

The VEWG (Vehicle and Equipment Working Group) met on the 30th July with an agenda as long as a Mercedes-Benz Ambulance. Size, in agendas as in other areas of life, shouldn’t matter: it is what you do with it that counts!
